FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of obtaining titanate photocatalyst, active in visible area of spectrum, includes stages of doping with interaction of alkali metal titanate with medium, containing doping element, protonation of obtained product with processing in acidic solution, further separation of product from solution and drying, as alkali metal titanate used is potassium titanate, which has layered structure; as medium, containing doping element, used is water solution of transition metal-dopant salt, selected from group Ni, Fe, Cu, with addition of surface active substance, protonation of potassium titanate is carried out simultaneously with doping stage, value of hydrogen index of water solution is supported at the level below critical value, corresponding to precipitation of transition metal hydroxide, drying of obtained product being performed at temperature 120°C≤T≤200°C.
EFFECT: obtaining of photocatalyst, possessing high activity in visual area of spectrum.
