FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: die is formed by assemblage of discrete points that belong to vertices of array of rods and should be adjusted so that rod vertices make required bed on arranging the rods on 3D solid model of die bed and locking them thereon. Note here that all rods of the array feature identical length. Said model with array of rods is placed in vessel. After locking positions of rods, model is withdrawn to fill formed cavity under rods with filler. Filler properties are defined with due allowance for tolerable compressive strain at filler material, friction factor and normal pressure between rod surfaces in contact as well as other parameters. Array rods are locked with wedges to be arranged in vessel side surfaces. 3D solid model is produced by prototyping. Rods are made with vertices representing 2nd order surfaces.
