FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electroplating and may be for nondestructive determination of electroplated coating and optimisation of deposition process. Proposed method comprises weighing the part immersed in electrolyte during film deposition. Note here that coating mean thickness Hmean is defined by relationship where S is part surface area, g is acceleration of gravity, ρc is coating material density, ρe is electrolyte density, is weight of immersed part before and after deposition during t. Mean thickness Hmean is controlled in deposition process to terminate it after reaching the condition Hmean =Hreq, where Hreq is required thickness of coating.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of deposition.
