FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to characterisation of resistance to fatigue stresses of the part, starting from its surface profile. Essence of the invention: method involves the following stages: stage of obtaining the surface profile, at which there fixed is geometrical data describing the surface profile of the area in which there shall be determined the resistance to fatigue stresses of the part; at that, the above stage involves the stage of measuring the geometrical profile at fatigue stress of the part. Stage of integration into the calculation model, at which the above data is entered to the calculation model so that evaluation of field of mechanical stresses can be developed in the above area of the above part; at that, model is used only at non-zero distances from edges of the part area. Processing stage at which a conclusion on the evaluation of stress field, at least of characteristic quantity of the part fatigue state is made.
EFFECT: development of a new characterisation procedure of resistance to fatigue stresses of the part depending on the state of its surface, which allows rejecting any geometrical description of that profile in favour of mechanical description of the part, which is mostly related to resistance to fatigue stresses of the above mentioned part.
