SUBSTANCE: invention relates to plucked string musical instruments and specifically to tuning string musical instruments and can be used in guitars and other string musical instruments. The tuning pin has a housing in which there is a worm-and-worm pair and a rod linked to the gear wheel worm-and-worm pair, an eccentric or recess made on the outer end of the rod and an end cap with a through-hole for tying the string. The end cap is configured to turn on the outer end of the rod. The outer end of the rod is threaded and there is a female thread in the end cap. The outer end of the rod and the end cap form a screw pair.
EFFECT: tying a string at optimum height over the peghead with minimum winding length and adjusting string tension with the handle of a worm gear without additional operations and using a special key.
