SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for retaining the tune of a stringed musical instrument. The stringed musical instrument has a tremolo mechanism, back yoke, front yoke, tuning pins with possibility of adjusting the centre height of a tuning pin, on which a string is wound. The section of the string, between the point at which the string touches the back yoke and where it touches the axis of the tuning pin, on which the string is wound, is straight. The string touches the front yoke through adjustment of the centre height of the tuning pin, on which the string is wound. The string is pressed to the front yoke using a stretched elastic element, which is situated next to the front yoke between the front yoke and the axis of the tuning pin.
EFFECT: longer retention of tune of a stringed musical instrument.
