FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in electric arc surfacing of wear-resistant alloys for parts operating under conditions of intensive wear at elevated temperatures with shock loads, for example, parts of hot forging tools, hot rolling rolls. Wire consists of a low-carbon steel shell and a powdery mixture and contains components in the following ratio, wt. %: nickel 6–8, chrome 5–6, molybdenum 2–4, ferrosilicon 1.5–2.5, titanium diboride 1.0–2.5, zirconium diboride 1.0–2.5, sodium silicofluoride 0.5–1.0, iron powder 3.8–20, ferrotitanium 3–4, ferroaluminium 1–2, boron nitride 0.5–1.5, steel sheath – the rest. Surfacing with flux-cored wire with this composition of the charge can be carried out in argon or under flux.
EFFECT: deposited metal has high hardness, heat resistance and wear resistance while maintaining plastic properties, which can significantly increase the resistance of hot forging and pressing tools under conditions of prolonged temperature-force action.
