SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-studded automotive tires. Multiple transverse grooves 18 are made on tread sett surface 10. Grooves 18 have ledges 22 arranged on the surface of groove first wall while recesses 24 are made on groove second wall and shaped to match with said ledges. Contraction of elements 16a of tread sett 16 separated by grooves 18 is decreased due to interaction between ledges 22 and recesses 24. Height H1 of ledges 22 arranged at top part of grooves 18 exceeds height H2 of ledges 22 located at bottom part of said grooves.
EFFECT: reduced excess rigidity, better braking on ice.
