Studded tire (10) comprises strips (24, 26, 28) on the tread (12), separated by plurality of passing in the tire circumferential direction annular grooves (14), and a plurality of cross grooves (16, 18), intersecting the said annular grooves (14); studs attachment areas (32) made on the strips (24, 26, 28); and made on the respective strips (24, 26, 28) communication areas (40, 42), on which the said studs attachment areas (32) are formed. At that, communication areas one end terminates at a location separated from the corresponding stud attachment area (32), and the other end communicates with the corresponding cross groove (16, 18).

EFFECT: improvement of the car control on the icy coating due to prevention of the crushed ice sticking on the studs.
