FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of producing explosives, and specifically to production of finely dispersed octogene which can be used as a component of gunpowder and high-energy mixed compositions. The method involves preparation of an aqueous suspension of octogene with the phase ratio of solid body to water ranging from 1:5 to 1:10, dispersing said suspension mechanically in a disintegrator at disc finger speed of 45-180 m/s and filtering the product.
EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of the process and enables to obtain finely dispersed octogene with specific surface area of 0,1-0,8 m2/g.
