SUBSTANCE: in the method of automatic control of the drying process of grain and other particulate materials providing for supply of microwave energy, the measurement of moisture of grain and other particulate material entering the drying chamber, the moisture of grain and other particulate material, the temperature of drying agent at the inlet and outlet of the dryer, the moisture content of the drying agent at the outlet from the layer of grain and other particulate material, the power consumption of the magnetrons, heating elements and electrical drive motor of the fan, radiator, the transmission of the measured parameters in the microprocessor system, development by the microprocessor system of the impacts on the control of temperature and flow rate of drying agent, power of magnetrons, grains feeding and other particulate material, implementation of regulatory actions with help of the actuators according to the invention, the temperature and moisture content of the air is controlled, with the help of sensors the temperature is controlled at several points within the zone of influence of the microwave field on grain or other particulate material, the information from these sensors is supplied to the microprocessor system, where on the basis of information received, using the data on the original moisture content of grain and other particulate materials, the temperature and consumption of drying agent, the power consumption of the magnetrons, the temperature of heating the grain and other particulate material is calculated in the center and on the surface of the grain and other particulate material, process control is carried out in such a way as not to exceed the limit of heating temperature of grain and other particulate material, the management can be performed on the combined basis (according to the deviation of the controlled quantity and disturbing effect) and in accordance with the criterion of optimality, and the optimum process control can be performed both by the criterion of minimum energy costs and by the criterion of the machine maximum performance, the correction of the control mode by the drying process is carried out at four levels with the priority of heating temperature of grain and other particulate material, and at the first level when the overheating temperature of grain and other particulate material of the maximum limiting value, the flow rate of the supplied drying agent is affected, on the second level, if the changes on the first level do not yield the desired results, the temperature of the drying agent is changed, if the change in flow rate of the supplied flow of the drying agent and its temperature do not provide the reduction of heating temperature of grain and other particulate material, on the third level the voltage in the power circuit of magnetrons is affected, on the fourth level the consumption of grain and other particulate material is changed, thereby changing the duration of its stay in the zone of influence of the microwave field.

EFFECT: invention enables to provide an intensification of the drying process, to improve the quality of the finished product, to reduce energy costs.
