FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: concentration of phosphate ions is determined in patient's synovial fluid. If concentration of phosphate ion is higher than 2.20 mmol/l, conclusion about sclerotic changes of subchondral zone of femur and tibia epiphyses is made. If concentration of phosphate ion is lower than 1.70 mmol/l, conclusion about presence of osteoporotic changes in subchondral zone of femur and tibia epiphyses is made.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of estimation of impaired mineralisation of subchondral zone of femur and tibia epiphyses in patients with gonarthrosis.
