FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tool steel for cold processing produced by powder metallurgy. Said steel contains, wt. %: C 2.2–2.4, Si 0.1–0.55, Mn 0.2–0.8, Cr 4.1–5.1, Mo 3.1–4.5, V 7.2–8.5, optionally one or more of: N 0.02–0.15, P ≤ 0.05, S ≤ 0.5, Cu ≤ 3, Co ≤ 5, Ni ≤ 3, W ≤ 2, Nb ≤ 2, Al ≤ 0.1, Ti ≤ 0.1, Zr ≤ 0.1,Ta ≤ 0.1, B ≤ 0.6, Be ≤ 0.2, Bi ≤ 0.2, Se ≤ 0.3, Ca 0.0003–0.009, O 0.003–0.01, Mg ≤ 0.01, rare-earth elements (REE) ≤ 0.2, rest is Fe and impurities.
EFFECT: obtaining steel with the required set of properties.
