FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method involves determining and establishing initial dimensions of the field of vision of a viewing device, superimposing said field with the viewed object and holding in that position for a given period of time. A stabilised line of sight is formed and adjusted in the initial state with the optical axis of the viewing device; the direction and value of angular speed of deviation of the stabilised line of sight from the optical axis of the viewing device is determined; the stabilised line of sight is moved with the same speed in the opposite direction and superimposed with the viewing point on the viewed object. When the viewing device manoeuvres, its banking angle is measured, as well as the angle of elevation of the line of sight; the angle of deviation of the line of sight from the given position is determined and then moved in the reverse direction by the same angle to the given position. The viewing index is illuminated; brightness and its illumination colour are gradually varied until they reach optimum contrast with the viewed object; the field of vision is reduced to size where B is the reduced angular dimension of the field of vision. B0 is the angular dimension of the viewed object, σv is the mean-square value of the viewing error, σy is the mean-square value of the adjustment error of the line of sight with the optical axis of the viewing device. After a time tz+ti, where tz is the given viewing time, ti is the time delay of the eye-viewing device system, the initial dimensions of the field of vision of the viewing device are restored.
EFFECT: high noise immunity and accuracy of viewing.
