FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention involves determining and setting initial dimensions of the field of view of a sighting device, superimposing it with the tracking object and maintaining that position for a given period of time, and is characterised by that a stabilised sighting line is formed and adjusted in the initial state with the optical axis of the sighting device of the tracking device; the direction and value of the angular speed of the deviation of the stabilised sighting line are determined; the sighting line is moved at the same speed in the opposite direction and superimposed with the sighting point on the tracking object; as the sighting device manoeuvres, its roll angle and the elevation angle of the sighting line are measured; the angle of deviation of the sighting line from the given position is determined and is then moved in the opposite direction by the same angle; during movement of the tracking object, the direction and value of its angular speed ω0 are measured and stored, and its mathematical expectation ω0.me and mean-square deviation ω0.sqd are determined; the sighting line is automatically moved in the direction of movement of the tracking object; the sighting index is illuminated; the brightness and colour of its illumination are varied to optimum contrast with the tracking object; the field of view is reduced and in the end, initial dimensions of the field of view of the sighting device of the tracking device are restored.
EFFECT: high noise-immunity, accuracy of viewing and tracking a mobile object.
