FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device transmits a message signal to the call system of a medical institution when the device receives and identifies an acoustic signal denoting the alarm signal of an acoustic device or other parameter. The device has an acoustic sensor, a signal processing module and an interface module. In one version, a band-pass filter, a time selector and a processor process the received acoustic signal in order to identify the acoustic alarm signal. A storage device can be used to store a set of identification criteria for identifying different acoustic alarm signals and to store a set of message signals. The transmitted message signal is selected from the stored set of message signals.
EFFECT: simple, relatively cheap means of notification, which ensures a low probability of receiving a false alarm signal.
