FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: in the method for installation of a temporary earth including phase clips, an earthing screw-clamp, shorting conductors and an earthing conductor, consisting in the fact that the earthing screw-clamp is installed on an earthing device, first by means of shorting conductors and phase clips, non-earthed wires of a power transmission line are connected to each other, and then by means of the earthing conductor and the phase clip the earthing screw-clamp is connected to one of the power transmission line wires.

EFFECT: development of a method to install a temporary earth and a device for its realisation, making it impossible for voltage to be transferred from a high voltage line wire to a worker as the first phase clip is installed, and the last phase clip is removed, reduced work load in its installation onto high voltage line wires from earth surface, higher reliability of power supply, and also increased convenience of temporary earth operation for a high voltage line.
