FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: mandrel comprises central shaft, set of lengthwise forming elements arranged thereabout, and end fasteners. Said forming elements are shaped to one-diameter curvilinear tubes arranged in circle of diameter Dcir-D - d where D and d are diameters of mandrel and tubes, respectively. Note here that radii of tube curvature represent set of values in the range of 
where Rax is radius of mandrel curvilinear axis. Note also that grooves between said tubes are filled with flexible sections with face surfaces making mandrel working surface.
EFFECT: ease of withdrawing mandrel elements from finished products.
