FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treatment aimed at reducing zinc-bearing iron oxide, or iron oxide. The latter are reduced by thermal treatment by reducing material in reduction furnace. Said furnace comprises cooling water sprinkler and sprinkler control device to maintain constant in-furnace temperature. Note here that one of wastes is fed into reduction furnace. Said wastes include those resulted from disposal automobiles crushed to dust, those of household electric devices, plastic wastes, fuel wastes, plastic and paper wastes, sludge, oil dirt, saw dust, fibrous wastes, rubber wastes, vegetable and animal wastes.

EFFECT: production of metallic iron, reduced production costs.
