FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to target means for defining bullet and shell position in space and time for reestablishing their trajectory in fire at shooting galley or shooting range. Proposed method comprises recording moments of time during which sound wave front passes through acoustic transducers arranged on, at least, one target in number selected by that of unknown magnitudes in regression or mathematical model of target. One of said unknown magnitudes is time count origin corresponding to moment of shell or bullet penetration through target. Besides, it comprises computing motion characteristics by regression or mathematical model. Every target is composed bullet-penetrated plate from material wherein design sound speed in target location exceeds that in target ambient medium. Note here that said preset number of unknown magnitudes includes sound velocity in target material.
EFFECT: simplified method, higher precision.
