FIELD: space.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to methods and means of protection of space objects from high-speed meteor or man-made particles. Method is carried out by a device in form of a set of acoustic sensors, connected to measuring-calculating unit, and high-frequency antennae. Latter are placed near surface of a pressure compartment, and acoustic sensors are placed in its volume. At breakdown of housing of object moments of arrival of a sound wave at acoustic sensors is measured, and moment of breakdown of pressure compartment is determined from electromagnetic signals of antennae. Coordinates breakdown locations are determined based on a system of equations expressing distance from place of breakdown from acoustic sensors, defined at specified moments in time. From plurality of acoustic sensors, four acoustic sensors with minimum time of arrival of sound wave are selected.

EFFECT: technical result of group of inventions is aimed at reduction of error of determining coordinates of points of breakdown with limited number of acoustic sensors.
