FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of making representative specimens of target aerosol used for varying atmospheric conditions. Aerosol is produced on firing pyro charge in wind tunnel wherein aerosol flow generated in diffuser is decelerated and combined with turbulisation. Thereafter, averaged aerosol flow is directed into main line for dosed supply into cooled climatic chambers wherein mist is premade by forced circulation of steam dosed feed to produce active center of moisture concentration in mixing with aerosol to be exposed on object-plate in the form of local precipitation. Amount of the latter allows defining the efficiency of target aerosol. Note here that target aerosol is produced by sublimation of ice-forming reagent, primarily, silver iodide, or by thermochemical destruction of potassium perchlorate/periodate to make fine adsorbent to be fed directly in main line. Mist in climatic chambers is created with water content of 0.5-1 g/m3 at the temperature 2-5°C lower than preset technological temperature and held for 5-10 min to reach minus 3, 6 and 10°C for ice formation or 20 to minus 2°C for creation of water drops on object-plate.
EFFECT: comprehensive and high-quality estimation of target pyro filling of special-purpose rockets and jet projectiles.
