FIELD: explosive or thermal compositions.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of active action on hydrometeorological processes and is intended to prevent and interrupt hailstorms, inducing precipitation from supercooled clouds by generating an ice-forming aerosol obtained during combustion of a pyrotechnic charge or a block with a pressed composition. Pyrotechnic aerosol-forming composition for action on clouds contains ammonium perchlorate as an oxidant, phenol-formaldehyde resin as a fuel, mixture of finely ground silver iodide, potassium iodide, copper iodide as an ice-forming reagent, thiokol, epoxy-diane resin, plasticiser dibutylphthalate and a mixture of hardeners: manganese (IV) oxide, urotropin and diphenylguanidine, ferrocene as a catalytic additive for controlling the burning rate.
EFFECT: high strength of blocks from the pressed composition, high stability of operation at high pressures, stable operation of pyrotechnic sticks at temperature up to minus 15 °C, high chemical resistance during long-term storage in the temperature range from minus 20 °C to plus 50 °C with simultaneous preservation of efficiency of ice-forming action.
