FIELD: pyrotechnics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pyrotechnic compositions which, during combustion, form an aerosol which acts on hydrometeorological processes. Invention can be used to dissipate clouds and fogs, prevent hailstorms and induce precipitation from supercooled clouds, by generating adsorbing aerosol when burning pyrotechnic charge, which includes salts of active halides. Pyrotechnic aerosol-forming composition contains ammonium perchlorate as an oxidising agent, phenol-formaldehyde resin as fuel and calcium stearate as an ice-forming agent – a composition of ingredients promoting formation of nuclei of crystals – a mixture of finely ground silver iodide powder, potassium iodide, copper iodide, as a combustible binder for excluding stratification and increasing strength of the pressed composition – natural linseed, for controlling combustion rate – ferrocene (catalytic additive) and process additive – graphite.
EFFECT: composition is characterized by high efficiency of action of pyrotechnic composition on clouds, providing universality of meteorological effect in a wide range of temperatures, with high threshold of ice formation and output of active nuclei of crystallisation.
