METHOD OF PREDICTING HEMATOGENOUS METASTASES IN INTESTINAL TYPE OF STOMACH CANCER Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC G01N33/53 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine and is intended for prediction of hematogenous metastases in intestinal type of stomach cancer. Immunohistochemical assessment of percent of expression of aldo-keto reductase family I member B10 (AKR1B10) protein in cells of intestinal type stomach cancer, forming glandular-like structures, located in mucous, submucous, muscular and serous layers of stomach wall, is performed. Regression coefficient β is calculated by method of multiple regression from software package Statistica 6,0 for Windows. If regression coefficient β value equals or is larger than "-0.25", case is referred to group of high risk of development of hematogenous metastases, if regression coefficient β value is less than "-0.25", case is referred to group of low risk of development of hematogenous metastases.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase accuracy of predicting risk of hematogenous metastases in case of intestinal type of stomach cancer.
