SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a display device and a method of driving the display device. The unit for storing the adjustment region address in the display control circuit of the present invention stores the adjustment region address for displaying elements located in the end part of the display region through which light is transmitted, which has been subjected to change in optical path by a light-transmitting element, among addresses which temporarily store pixel values provided from a source which is external with respect to the device. The data adjustment unit multiplies, based on the adjustment region address, the pixel values for the end part of the display region by a compensation factor which is set so as to compensate for change in colour of the displayed image caused by the light-conducting element, thus correcting the pixel value.
EFFECT: high quality of the displayed image.
