FIELD: image forming devices.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to display device, and more specifically to technique of brightness correction control means for image displayed by display device. Result is achieved by the fact that the display device includes a display unit designed to display the entire image as a whole. Entire image as a whole is an image in which a first image displayed in the first display region, which is a certain region except for the second display region, is superimposed with a second image displayed in the second display region, which is set in some part of image display area. Brightness correction controller includes first and second luminance information calculators for corresponding luminance computation of each of the first and second images, first and second calculators of correction coefficients intended for respective calculation of the first and second brightness correction coefficients for the purpose of corresponding brightness correction of each of the first and second images using the first and second brightness correction coefficients. Display unit displays the first and second images, each of which has the corrected brightness, respectively, in the first and second display regions.

EFFECT: design of a display device which individually corrects the brightness of each image to be displayed in a portion of the image display region and an image to be displayed in another region.
