FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used for clamping various-shape tools and parts. Proposed chuck comprises body with channels and cavity accommodating electroviscous suspension, resilient clamping sleeve with part or tool shank seat, tightening screw to transfer force on tightening it to electroviscous suspension, electrodes connected to DC generators that stay in contact with said suspension. Note here that said generator is composed of resistor, operating amplifier, potentiometer, and bipolar transistor. Note here that said operating amplifier is connected with potentiometer, resistor and transistor. Resistor is connected to potentiometer and transistor while the latter is connected to electrodes.
EFFECT: ruled out chuck heating, reduced vibration.
