FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises temperature measurement in cutting zone. For this, thermal elements composed of plate is accommodated in cutter holder and connected with DC generator. Note here that thermocouple is used as temperature determination device. Part diameter is defined by means of optical sensor. In case measured temperatures and part diameter fall beyond required magnitudes, cutter cooling is adjusted by increasing or decreasing generator output voltage with definition of its magnitude by means of seven fuzzy rules by enclosed formula. Proposed device comprises computer and temperature transducer built in the cutter. Besides, is incorporates DC generator including operating amplifier, potentiometer and resistor, fuzzy controller to recalculate voltage magnitude depending upon fuzzy control rules. Note here that said computer is connected with potentiometer, plate input is connected by conductors with operating amplifier output. Plate output is connected with resistor and operating amplifier second input. Operating amplifier first input is connected with potentiometer. Fuzzy controller first input is connected with optical sensor. Fuzzy controller second input is connected with thermocouple. Fuzzy controller output is connected to potentiometer.

EFFECT: higher machining precision.
