FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises mixing wood fibres with thermoplastic synthetic fibres, a binding agent, to make fibrous mat. Note here that said synthetic fibres represent multicomponent fibres including, at least, first and second components with different melting points. Note here that said fibrous mat is heated to soften second component of synthetic fibres. Said fibrous mat is cooled down in making insulation board. Note also that said mat is heated by steam or steam-air mix with preset dew point. Note that first component feature fusion point higher than dew point while second component has fusion point lower that dew point.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
