FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a hydrogen sulphide neutraliser which contains urotropin and formalin, characterised by that it additionally contains a water-soluble salt of carboxylic acid, primarily a formate and/or acetate of an alkali metal, and methanol, with the following ratio of components, wt %: urotropin 2-20; formate and/or acetate of an alkali metal 1-12; methanol 5-25; formalin - the balance. The invention also relates to a method of purifying oil, gas condensate and fractions thereof and water-oil emulsions from hydrogen sulphide.
EFFECT: high efficiency of the neutraliser, having high processability, stability during storage and neutralisation capacity, which provides high degree of purification of hydrocarbon media from hydrogen sulphide and light mercaptans.
