FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: passivating agent for steel plates with alumino-zinc coating obtained by method of dipping into heated impregnating compound contains 2-6 wt % of water-soluble molybdate, 4-12 wt % of water-soluble manganese salt, 50-100 wt % of basic silicate sol and 50-100 wt % of water-soluble organic resin. The proposed passivating agent contains no chrome or other ions of heavy metals, which can be harmful for environment.

EFFECT: passivating agent is environmentally safe, has low film formation temperature, high corrosion resistance and high water resistance, improves appearance of steel plates with alumino-zinc coating obtained by means of dipping method into heated impregnating compound, and improved lubricating properties of the film.
