FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: piston-type compressor with gear without piston-rod includes eccentric shaft 3 with rotor 4 installed on it, at least two pairs of opposite cylinders 1, the axes of which are perpendicular to axis of eccentric shaft 3. Inside each cylinder there arranged is piston 2 that is provided with possibility of back-and-forth movement and interacts with rotor 4. Each piston 2 has projection 10 that is elongated in the direction perpendicular to axis of rotor 4 and axis of corresponding cylinder 1. Surface of projection 10 interacts with surface of rotor 4, and pistons 2 of each pair of opposite cylinders 1 are connected to each other at least with one connecting element made in the form of brace rod 6 enclosing the corresponding ends of projections 10 of the corresponding pair of pistons 2 and rotor 4.
EFFECT: metal consumption of the design is reduced, its compactness and dynamic equilibrium of moving parts, as well as number of transfer members is provided; power losses for mechanical friction are reduced; reliability and durability is improved; assembly process is simplified; vibration and noise level is decreased.
