FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: sensor has a light-emitting device, a light-receiving device, an adjustment device and a control device. The light-emitting device includes light emitters which periodically emit and project light onto corresponding sections of the projected light on the view section of the door, and a segmented lens. The segmented lens has a combination of lenses for scattering light received from said light emitters on said view section. The light-receiving device has light detectors, the number of which differs from the number of light emitters, for receiving light projected by light emitters onto said view section. The light-receiving device additionally includes an optical device for scattering onto said light detectors light in a direction perpendicular to the width of the doorway beyond the light projected by light emitters onto said view section. The adjustment device establishes, as light detectors receive light, whether to use to determine whether a person or object is on said view section. The adjustment device determines, in accordance with the installation of said adjustment device, based on how said light detectors receive light, whether a person or an object is on the view section.
EFFECT: design of a sensor for use with an automatic door, which is easy to assemble and install and enables to create an arbitrary view section.
