FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: detecting unit (14) generates areas of detection located in 2D manner on the floor surface near a door panel (12). Each area of detection is made as capable of detection of a human being or an object using an infrared light regardless of other areas of detection. Facilities (30) for area detection detect an area formed by multiple specified detection areas, which detected a human being or an object. Facilities (44) to assess human being movement assess the direction, in which the detected area moves. A signal causing opening of the door panel (12) is sent to a door controller (34), only when direction of detected area movement is the direction towards this door panel.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of detection.
