FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an improved method of producing a salt of fluoroalkane sulphinic acid which can be used in chemical industry. The method involves conducting a reaction in the presence of an organic polar aprotic solvent of sulphur oxide with fluorocarboxylic acid, at least partially converted into a salt by a volumetric organic or mineral cation of the corresponding halofluoroacetic acid of formula (Ia): X-CF2-COOH (Ia), where X denotes a fluorine atom; of formula (Ib): R-G-CF2-COOH(Ib), where G denotes a perfluoroalkylene group -(CF2)n-, where n ranges from 1 to 10, R denotes a halogen atom, preferably chlorine or fluorine.
EFFECT: novel efficient method of producing a salt of fluoroalkanesulphinic acid is provided.
