FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: shipborne indicating pressure gauge comprises a cylindrical body, inside of which there is a special detachable chamber installed, which consists of a flange and a holder - base. Inside the detachable chamber a flat membrane is placed, which is exposed to measured pressure at one side and to atmospheric one - at the other side. Under action of pressure difference the membrane sags and via a transmitting pinion-sector mechanism moves the pointer installed on the pinion axis and arranged above the dial. The cylindrical body of the instrument is arranged as a whole with a square flange, in which at the inner side there is an additional chamber made and closed with a cover. The additional chamber communicates with one hole arranged in the cover, with the inner cavity of the body, and by two others - with atmosphere. The additional chamber performs functions of a filter, which eliminates ingress of moisture and dust, oil vapours, sea fog, etc. inside the instrument.
