FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: method involves fitting an object and the extended location with radio-frequency (RFID) tags for the object and tags on two edges of the location. The antenna of a radio-frequency reader is moved from one edge of the object to another. The location of the object is determined based on the change in signals of the radio-frequency tags at the beginning of the location and the object, which are picked up by the reader. Based on change in the signal of the radio-frequency tag at the end of the location, it is established that all objects in the location are identified and localised.
EFFECT: more reliable determination of the location of an object.
