SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a head (4) of the toothbrush with the support (6) of the bristles, to which a lot of cleaning elements (8) are attached, preferably in the form of beams, wherein the said support (6) of bristles comprises at least one rocker arm (10, 11) having a first end (13) attached to it on the side which is remote in relation to the end of the head (4) of the toothbrush, facing the handle and having a second, free end (14) on the side closer in relation to the end of head (4) of the toothbrush, facing the handle. On the rocker arm (10, 11) at least one row of cleaning elements (8) is mounted. According to the present invention, at least, the cleaning elements (8) located on the arm (10, 11) which are the furthest from the longitudinal central plane (15) of the head (4) of the toothbrush are tilted inwards toward the longitudinal central plane (15), at an acute angle. Furthermore, the invention relates preferably to a manual toothbrush having such head (4) of the toothbrush.
