METHOD OF LAYING FIRE-PREVENTION MINERALISED BANDS AND DEVICE FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A62C3/02 

FIELD: fire-prevention facilities.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of battle against peat fires, in particular, to prevent the spread of underground peat burning. The method of laying the fire-prevention mineralised bands consists of a trench making and filling it with non-combustible mineralised soil. The trench is made with depth of 50% greater than the thickness of the peat layer. The peat without its extraction from the trench is mixed with underlying mineralised soil. The new space of the peat-soil mixture is filled with carbon dioxide. To implement the said method the device for laying the fire-prevention mineralised bands is used. The device comprises a base tractor, an active chain working body and a hopper. The chain body is mounted on the tractor. The hopper is made in the form of a through box consisting of two parallel walls, a bottom and an upper frame. Inside the box there is a mixer drive. Along the bottom the perforated pipe is laid. The pipe is connected to the tank with carbon dioxide.

EFFECT: method enables to improve the reliability of prevention of spread of underground peat burning, reducing significantly the cost and complexity of the operations performed.
