FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device relates to testing, particularly, to determination of friction forces between wheel and rail. Proposed device comprises frame to carry measuring system and signal-to-data converters, and adjustable loader to simulate wheel pressure on rail, and mechanism to drive said adjustable loader to rail. Measurement system guide is arranged on aforesaid guide and coupled with lead screw electrically driven to automatically drive measurement system at preset speed along the rail. Frame carries also, at least, two electromagnets for attachment, accurate and stable positioning of the device on rail. Motor and electromagnets ate connected with control unit.
EFFECT: simultaneous measurement of friction and rolling forces, accurate positioning of measurement system.
