FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: flexible printed-circuit board (2) has wire lines (8a) and (8b), running to a display panel (1), and leads (T1) and (T2) connected to the wire lines (8a) and (8b), respectively. The display panel (1) has a short-circuited wire line (5) for short-circuiting wire lines (8a) and (8b). The board (2) is connected to the display panel (1) and wire lines (8a) and (8b) are short-circuited through the short-circuited line (5) on a connecting part lying between the board (2) and the display panel (1). The liquid crystal display (30) has a feed circuit (31) for feeding a signal to lead (T1), and a control circuit (32) for comparing the signal fed to lead (T1) with a signal obtained at lead (T2).

EFFECT: enabling checking of the state of the connection between the display panel and the circuit board not only during manufacture of the display but during use thereof.
