FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: high-voltage inverter is described for conversion of DC power into AC power with at least one output phase. For each output phase of AC current, the inverter comprises a circuit of an input phase of AC current, comprising the first and second controlled electronic lamps of triode, tetrode or pentode type with field emission of a cold cathode. Each electronic lamp comprises the first input unit for connection to a high-voltage DC potential exceeding 20 kV, and the second input unit for connection to earth. The first electronic lamp is connected in series between the first end of the primary winding and earth, and the second electronic lamp is connected in series between the second end of the primary winding and earth. The control circuit controls electronic lamps so that the first and second electronic lamps alternately conduct electric current, in order to alternately supply approximately earth potential to the first and then second end of the primary winding.
EFFECT: higher reliability and safety provision.
