FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: analogue radio signal (RS) is received and digitised, and spectral representation thereof is formed. When forming the spectral representation, the digitised RS is first divided into equal fragments, over which Fourier transform is independently performed. To calculate parameters of the spectral representation, Fourier transform components of each fragment are divided into two equal parts and the sum of component values of each part is calculated. The calculated sums of the parts are compared with each other. A RS is detected if in at least one pair of the parts the difference between the calculated sums exceeds a predetermined value which is in the range of (9-15)% of the value of the sum of component values of the largest part of each of the fragments.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities, particularly detection of single radio signals in conditions of expected uncertainty on time of radiation of said signals without a predetermined decision threshold value.
