FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for detecting narrow-band signals in additive noise under conditions of a priori uncertainty about the time of their arrival. The technical result is to increase the accuracy of measuring the time of arrival of the detected signal under noisy conditions. The claimed technical result is achieved by the fact that in case of detection of a signal, the function of the average values of the components is calculated from the cross-correlation function normalized on each sample, its maximum value and the time value corresponding to this maximum value are determined, which is determined as the time of arrival of the detected signal.
EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of measuring the time of arrival of the detected signal under noisy conditions
