FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of obtaining carnallite from chloro-magnesium solutions. Method includes their purification and concentration, mixing with solid potassium-chlorine-containing waste electrolyte. After mixing, dehydration is performed by heating mixture to content of crystallising water 2-6 moles per 1 mole KCl-MgCl2 with release of outflowing gases from heating zone. Before mixing, waste electrolyte is heated by gases, isolated from heating zone. Weight ratio of sodium chloride to magnesium chloride is supported 0.78-0.83, and coarseness of waste electrolyte constitutes less than 0.315 mm.
EFFECT: simplification and intensification of the process, enhancement of synthetic carnallite quality and reduction of energy consumption.
