FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: set of invention relates to powder metallurgy, treatment of industrial and domestic effluents. Ferroalloy nitration is conducted in self-sustaining layer-by-layer burning at nitrogen pressure of 1.0-12.0 MPa. Ferroalloy contains 20-40 wt % of boron and features particle size smaller than 160 mcm. In nitration of ferroalloy, amorphous boron is added in amount of 1.0-10.0 wt % to initial blend. Subsequent nitration is conducted in bulk burning mode at nitrogen pressure of 0.15-10.0 MPa for 0.5-1.5 h. Produced nitrated alloy is ground to isolate pellet fraction of 0.63-2.5 mm. Produced catalyst is immersed in effluent along with feed ozone-air mix therein.

EFFECT: high catalytic activity, higher efficiency of purification.
