FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to combustion processes related with glass melting. In operation, two different-origin fuels are fed into furnace working space two chambers, spaced apart to distribute fuel therein. Combustion air is fed only in one of said chambers. First fuel is fed into burner while another one is fed into injector. Note here that the latter is located where second fuel is mixed with circulated combustion products before ignition in contact with hot air not consumed by burner flame. Burners and ejectors are adjusted so that when burner does not feed all the fuel required for glass melting injector feeds the other fuel. Proposed furnace comprises fused glass tank L, fused glass bath B, and walls located above glass to confine furnace working space and accommodating air inlet VA, hot combustion product outlet F, and, at least, one burner 1 to feed first fuel and, at least, one injector 4 to feed second fuel. Burner and injector are locates at different walls. Note here that injector is located level with or above horizontal plane extending through hot air inlet lower edge to correct flow relative to burner.

EFFECT: decreased NOX emission in combustion products.
