FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing perfluorinated ethers with terminal functional groups of formula RfO[CF(CF3)CF2O]nCF(CF3)COX, where Rf is C1-C3 perfluoroalkyl, n equals 0-2, X is F or OH, by reacting hexafluoropropylene oxide with an acyl fluoride of perfluorocarboxylic acid or oligomerisation of hexafluoropropylene oxide in a medium of a polar organic solvent in the presence of a two-component catalyst, which contains potassium chloride and, optionally, with subsequent hydrolysis of the formed perfluoroalkoxy propionyl fluoride, where the second catalyst component used is copper (I) or silver chloride, and when producing perfluoroalkoxy propionic acid, hydrolysis is carried out in the presence of an electrolytic additive which is taken in amount of 0.001-0.005 mol per 1 mol water.
EFFECT: high rate and selectivity at both the step for reacting acyl fluorides with hexafluoropropylene oxide and at the step for hydrolysis to obtain the corresponding acids.
