FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing perfluoroethyl isopropyl ketone - a substance which has come to replace chlorofluorocarbons and is intended to abate risks associated with human safety, quenching efficiency and pollution of the environment. The method involves reacting hexafluoropropene oxides and hexafluoropropene in a plug-flow reactor. The method is carried out without a solvent, with a KF + CsF catalyst deposited on activated carbon, at temperature of 100-140°C and pressure of 0-0.24 MPa. Usually, the catalyst used is a mixture of KF and CsF in ratio of 1:1, deposited on activated carbon.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain an end product with high output using industrial commercially available material.
